Zoetis Valbantel

An oral drench for sheep and goats that combines two active ingredients to treat roundworm, lungworm, milk tapeworm, liver fluke and nasal worm. The Valbantel suspension is also ovicidal, so roundworm eggs present in the animal at the time of dosing cannot hatch.

• Active ingredients: Albendazole 1.9% m/v and closantel sodium 3% m/v
• Dosage form: Suspension
• Suitable for: Sheep and goats
• Residual protection: Against re-infestation by wireworm and hookworm
• Dosage: 2 ml per 10 kg body mass, given orally
• Treatment interval: Not more often than every 3 weeks
• Withdrawal period: 30 days between the last dose and slaughter for human consumption
• Milk goats: Not for use in goats whose milk is intended for human consumption
• Pulpy kidney: Vaccination against pulpy kidney disease is recommended before dosing
• Ewes: Do not exceed the recommended dosage during mating or in the first month of pregnancy
