Zoetis Simparica

A chewable tablet for dogs that treats tick infestations and treats and prevents flea infestations. The Simparica tablet kills fleas before they can lay eggs and can be used as part of a strategy to control flea allergy dermatitis.

• Active ingredient: Sarolaner, at 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg, 80 mg or 120 mg per tablet depending on the strength chosen
• Appearance: Mottled brown, square chewable tablet with rounded edges, embossed with the strength on one side
• Tick control: Immediate and persistent tick killing activity for at least 5 weeks
• Flea control: Immediate and persistent flea killing activity against new infestations for 5 weeks
• Onset of action: Within 8 hours of attachment for fleas and within 12 hours of attachment for ticks
• Dosage: 2 to 4 mg of sarolaner per kg body weight, one tablet per dose
• Strength by body weight: 5 mg for 1.3 to 2.5 kg, 10 mg for over 2.5 to 5 kg, 20 mg for over 5 to 10 kg, 40 mg for over 10 to 20 kg, 80 mg for over 20 to 40 kg and 120 mg for over 40 to 60 kg
• Administration: With or without food, and the tablets should not be divided
• Minimum age: Do not treat puppies younger than 8 weeks
• Pregnancy and lactation: Do not treat pregnant or lactating dogs without consulting a veterinarian
• Registration numbers: G4317 (5 mg), G4322 (10 mg), G4318 (20 mg), G4319 (40 mg), G4320 (80 mg) and G4321 (120 mg) (Act 36/1947)
